The Joyflow Team
Your guides to movement, peace, and connection.

Owner & Yoga Instructor
Becca Marais
Joyflow was born from a deep belief that wellness should feel welcoming, not intimidating. I wanted to create a space where people could move, rest, and reconnect without pressure, where every person feels like they belong. Joyflow was built to be more than a studio, it’s a place for community, healing, and real-life joy. I believe yoga is for everybody- and every body. My classes are designed to be welcoming, empowering, and full of heart, creating space for people to show up just as they are and reconnect with their truest selves. After experiencing my own healing and transformation through yoga, I earned my RYT 200 through the Devanadi School of Yoga and Wellness. My teaching blends movement, breathwork, and meditation across multiple styles, all with a focus on helping students feel grounded, strong, and supported- on and off the mat.

Yoga Instructor
Amy Velsor
Hello! I'm Amy Velsor. I live in Mound with my husband and three sons - ages 20, 14 and 12. I'm active in our community with Westonka Community Theatre, Good Shepherd Church and Westonka Hockey. I fell in love with yoga about 10 years ago after losing 140 pounds with the help of bariatric surgery. That love encouraged me to deepen my knowledge and I got my 200YTT in 2020 through Lifepower. Since certification, I've been teaching at Lifetime and the Westonka Athletic Center as well as being the Yoga Coach for the Westonka Cross Country teams. Certified in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin formats, I love sharing breath, movement and growth with students of all abilities and experience levels. When not leading classes or practicing, I enjoy watching my boys play hockey, traveling, cooking, singing and volunteering.

Yoga Instructor
Bharathi Guyer
Bharathi’s [pronounced Bar-thee] connection to yoga began in childhood, growing up in India where pranayama, chanting, and yogic philosophy were part of everyday life. While her journey as a yoga teacher may have just begun, she has been living these practices for most of her life and teaches as a way of passing forward a gift carried through generations.
Her classes offer creative, breath-led vinyasa and restorative practices with thoughtful sequencing, intentional openings, and meaningful closings. She emphasizes mindful response, steadiness, and clarity, creating experiences that extend beyond the mat. With inclusive language, curated Indian and Western music, and occasional chanting, her classes feel grounded, accessible, and intentional.
Outside the studio, Bharathi works full-time at Target and spends much of her time on the sidelines cheering on her two boys at their soccer games. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, being out on the golf course with her husband or playing Mahjong with her neighborhood moms.

Yoga Instructor & Sound Healer
Beau Kraus
I was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, and moved to the United States in 1996. After experiencing severe nervous system depletion and realizing the limitations of Western medicine, I began exploring alternative and complementary healing modalities. Through the practices of Yoga and later Qigong, I experienced a profound transformation in my physical body, awareness, and perception- changes that rippled into every area of my life. In my classes, in individual private sessions, and daily life, my intention is to embody my highest self and inspire others to do the same. I teach and encourage self-healing through the many tools offered by different practices such as Yoga, Qigong, NLP coaching etc., we could call it Energy Medicine. I create a safe, supportive space where each person can connect to their unique body, release tension, rediscover joy, and heal- together. Over the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to study and become certified in many different modalities, including: * Qigong and Yoga Group Leader * Master Healer - Qigong Level IV SFQ * Therapeutic Coach NLP * Master Hypnosis Therapist * Doula * Contemplative Mindfulness training * Sound Healing I have also dedicated years to self-study in Chinese medicine, nutrition, Ayurveda, homeopathy, meditations, breathwork, and visualizations.

Hi! I’m Cara. I was born and raised in Mound, and I’m so excited to be teaching barre and sculpt classes at Joyflow. I’m married and have two small children, and staying active has always been a huge part of my life. I love barre because it leaves me feeling strong, grounded, and confident- it’s low impact but still such an intense, energizing workout. Outside of the studio, I’m happiest spending time with my family- usually outdoors or chasing after our little ones.

Yoga Instructor
Melissa Tresidder
My love of movement started young, as a self-described gymnastics gym rat, I developed a deep appreciation for strength, discipline, and what the body is capable of. After high school I channeled that passion into coaching and teaching core-focused fitness. I discovered yoga as the perfect complement, a practice that honors both strength and stillness. Twenty-five years of practice and two years of teaching have shaped how I show up for my students. I believe in building real, functional strength alongside flexibility and breath, and I love meeting people exactly where they are. Expect a grounded, purposeful class with a little athletic edge.

Reiki Energy Healer
Nicole Coon
Nicole Coon is a Reiki practitioner offering gentle, grounding energy work to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, and whole-person well-being. Her sessions are calm, restorative, and client-led, designed to help clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience balance on physical, emotional, and energetic levels. Drawing from yogic philosophy and grounding practices, Nicole may also incorporate crystals as gentle, complementary tools to support relaxation, grounding, and emotional clarity. All elements of a session are guided by consent, intuition, and respect for each client’s lived experience.
Nicole is trained in Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki, with Reiki Master training completed on Mt. Kurama Yama in Kyoto, Japan (March 2026). A lifelong psychic and medium, she also holds a Psychic and Intuitive Certification from the James Van Praagh School of Mystical Arts, bringing compassionate insight and spiritual awareness to her work while supporting clients in reconnecting with their own inner wisdom.
Her Reiki practice is deeply informed by her prior 20-year career as a civil rights litigator and law school professor. Years of work in high-stress, high-stakes environments shaped her trauma-aware, ethical, and attuned approach to care. Nicole continues to expand her offerings as a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200, Spring 2026, Devanadi School of Yoga and Wellness). Outside of her professional work, she enjoys travel, poetry, gardening, volleyball, and the restorative rhythms of lake life.
